Meet The Family: Mpho, Tumi and Bonolo join Worx Group

After years of friendship and working together, we are thrilled to announce that we have officially taken our relationship with top SA comedian Mpho “Popps” Modikoane and Entrepreneur and Influencer Tumi Mohale to the next level!

You’ve seen Mpho in our Instagram stories, you’ve seen him strut his best pose in selfies with our Chief Growth Officer Kim Winstanley, and now, you get to see us work closely with him and Tumi as new members of our team.

To many, Mpho Popps is a TV personality known for his quick-witted stand-up routines and MC professionalism, but in our shop, he’s all of that and so much more. He’s family! What started as a brief introduction and a comedy set at CEO, John Paul’s birthday celebration, turned into a professional MC gig that led to another and then another and as they say – the rest is history. Not only did he quickly win the hearts of our team but he’s no stranger to our clients either. Mpho’s wealth of ‘behind the scenes’ experience with events and the advertising/creative space brings added value to our team and maximises new opportunities for our clients.

Behind every successful Entertainer and go getter, we’d like to think that there is a powerhouse spurring them on and while Tumi Mohale takes on the title of being Mpho’s Manager through her company Sweet Life Management, she wears an entrepreneurial hat and is known as an influencer. In her own right, Tumi’s background in the event series, with friends and like-minded heavy hitters in the industry, as a founding member of The Other Girls, has made her a formidable force in the industry, known for organising The WKND Social - a hugely popular social event series. Not only does she bring a vast knowledge of the event industry, but her experience from working with various creative agencies sees her bringing a unique edge and eye for identifying opportunities for both Worx Group and clients.

Over and above having the dynamic duo part of our family, we’re joined by a third member of their team, Bonolo Dhlamini, better known as Bonny. The young talent is pursuing a Degree in Strategic Brand Management and works closely with Tumi and Mpho. Collectively, they share the Worx Group passion, to impact the lives of young talented individuals and to see them thrive by creating a platform for learning.

This partnership comes from identified synergies in value and vision from the team. As Tumi puts it: “There is something so satisfying about running a great event, it’s addictive! Breaking stereotypes has been a hallmark of my career, along with a hunger for learning new things. Make no mistake, I am an influencer and I have a big picture of where I want to go. I see Worx Group as the epic engine and this partnership comes at exactly the right time for me.”

Mpho added on: “I have always hustled and inherently look for opportunities everywhere, which is one of the reasons this partnership is such a good fit. At its core, Worx Group is still a family business and that appeals to me. Plus, not many people know I love the creative process, and am a beast in the boardroom”

We’re excited to continue creating and presenting world-class events supported by design, content, digital and production services and maintaining our strong reputation in the industry. We’re real people, taking real actions to achieve real results, and collaborations with like-minded individuals like Tumi and Mpho isn’t only an opportunity to invest in growth but to create opportunity everywhere.

Welcome to the family Mpho and Tumi!
